Business Model #1: A Blog
This is the business model that most bloggers (or anyone setting up a website for that matter) think they should follow. You will immediately notice the weakest link.
- Get a free blog from WordPress.
- Write some cool stuff.
- A miracle happens.
- Become a rich and famous millionaire.
Step 3 is what this blog is all about. Each post will take a look at a different ‘miracle’, i.e. how companies make money. Not sales tactics or marketing tricks, but the underlying business models. Sometimes it can be surprising, not to say enlightening, to find out what business certain well known companies really are in.
